Besides the fact that Audrey Hepburn was hot, I see no reason to watch this movie. Mickey Rooney looks like an idiot playing a Japanese neighbor (which, by the way, who hangs a light inches above their bed so that they will invariably hit their head against it?) George Peppard was completely undynamic (perhaps I was spoiled by his Hannibal Smith character from the A-Team?) As for Patricia Neal, I never liked her anyway. Her stint on The Waltons took care of that.

If you want to see Audrey Hepburn in a good flick, I'd recommend Wait Until Dark.
One watches that movie for it's absolute great fashion! ( and, of course, Cat)
Seeeeee? And "The Party" scene is a classic....Love Wait Until Dark
See AH in Two For The Road! and A Nun's Story(good performance)

If you like Audrey Hepburn, another one you should look at is Roman Holiday with she and Gregory Peck. It's sort of a reverse Cinderella story.

The Paramount Collectors DVD is a really good remaster.

An interesting movie; still prefer Monty Python or Dr. Strangelove.

An older movie called "Henry: Portrait of a serial killer" It wan on VHS (Yes, I live in a cave.) I expected it to be lame, but it was a pretty good movie actually.

Not quite a movie, but I've been getting DVDs of the TV show Northern Exposure at the library. Good stuff - I highly reccommend it.

Try watching more than 14% of a movie?

Apocalypto was quite good.

Perhaps if Mel could conjure up some half-convincing dialogue I'd watch the rest. I'd rather watch an old Ed Wood movie which uses the word "idiosyncrasy" in the wrong context than subject myself to the painful demonstration of plot development in Apocalypto. Actually, I did just that.

The bull testicle thing and the fire crotch were just too annoying. Sure, you want to put some comic relief in your movie to ready us for hours of bloodshed but seriously? A man screaming in fierce pain as everyone around him laughs? Creative. Aside from that, the dialogue was too contemporary. Too many American nuances and connotations.

It was the only movie I could find on tv at the hotel when I got back from house hunting in South Dakota. It didn't suck.

I tried that with Dangerous Liaisons recently. I couldn't do it. Too much Glenn Close and John Malkovich; not enough Michelle Pfeiffer or Uma Thurman. It was like watching an eighteenth-century version of Cruel Intentions.

Cruel Intentions was the kids version of Dangerous Liasons, which was made first...better scripted, better acted.....Better Movie!

I realize DL came earlier, unfortunately I saw CI first which left a sour taste for any movie that would resemble it.

I saw King Kong ..again! I love this telling of King Kong. He's a good boy! He treats Naomi Watts like a kitten or favorite pet that one falls in love with( she said ending with a preposition)

So let's say I have to make a choice tomorrow - Die Hard, or Transformers. Which should I see?? I don't know when I'll get a chance to watch the other one, so my immediate future RIDES ON THIS DECISION.

It was actually a hell of a fun movie. I went in expecting yet another mediocre revival of a series, but I thought that this was actually better than at least the third one. Bruce Willis still kicks ass and even made sure to get his signature line in.

I'd see it again.

I saw Live Free Or Die Hard this past weekend. Pretty kickass. Bruce Willis is the man.

Saw Transformers earlier today. This movie altered the existance of the Earth in our universe as we know it. It made me want to buy a new truck and feel myself.

I "aquired" a copy of it. After glimpsing a few seconds at a time, I've decided that I'll make the 100 mile drive to the theater and watch it as intended.

/also contemplating buying a new truck.
