Encoder suddenly unable to connect to SHOUTcast server

Hi I've run into a frustrating problem and for the last month hav been trying to troubleshoot the issues the developers of the broadcasting software I have been using for the last 3 months (ProppFrexx ONAIR)

Out of the blue, the software stopped being able to connect to SHOUTcast and caused the program to shut down. Starting the encoder it would display that it's connecting but hang for about 10 sec and then the software closes. I have installed and reinstalled and yet still the problem persists. Windows 10 did do an update 2 days after my last successful connection and it seemed there may have been a problem with the .NET Framework conflicting somehow but a re-Install of the Net Framework solved nothing.

Below is a copy of the SHOUTcast server log from the attempted connection.
I'm not tech-minded and this means little to me and would be grateful of any analysis to what may possibly be going wrong. Also curious as to what this entry means that appears each time.

looks like your v1 encoder is connecting as a listener. the v2 server only accepts v1 encoder source connections on its portbase+1. "client connetion accepted..." inplies that the server is assuming a listener connection.

check your encoder app for the kind of connection it is trying to make. very few encoders can make v2 source connections, most that support shoutcast will make a v1 connection. sometimes choosing icecast as the type can work.

edit:add: not sure, but source user-agent containing mozilla is uncommon among source clients.

ProppFrexx have solved the issue they say the Shoutcast2 server may have sent an oversized cipher key (the spec says 16 bytes max), and that overwrote some things because BASS_Encode_CastInit didn't enforce the limit.

So they sent an update that does limit it.
