How to deactivate plugins without removing them

Hi folks i have some troubles with my new media player winamp.

I got the OST from mass effect 3, but it was in wav(without album tag...-.-). So i searched a way to convert it to mp3.
I saw that i can convert them with a mp3 plugin using my winamp.
But everytime i tried to download and install a mp3 output plugin, they was an error which said that the out_mp3.dll is missing.
It's funny that the path in the error screen is C:\Program FIles (x86)\Winamp\\Plugins\out_mp3.dll

Why is there "\\"?

Well, with some luck i found something like lame which works now. Dunno how i did it.
When i play the OST, it's in a special folder as a .mp3.
But now, everything i play will be converted in mp3 in this folder and i have no idea how to stop that now. (And i cant hear anything. So it just converts)

Any ideas? I wont remove it, i could need it in future and im happy it works now.
Sorry for bad school-english.

EDIT: Name of Plugin is "Lame MP3 Writer plug-in v1.6.3 [out_lame.dll]

Ctrl+P, in Winamp Preferences window please select:

Plug-ins
|-Output

In this output plug-ins tab you may want to select the active output plugin. Obviously the out_mp3.dll is highlighted, you need to highlight the out_ds.dll, which is the default output plugin for winamp.

Any time you may return to this menu and highlight another plugin by clicking on it.
