in_wave preloading misbehaviour

hi there, im a long term winamp user, and recently I got dvd-rams for transporting my 32bit float files from my audio projects...

Now I encountered some misbehaviour of the in_wave.dll, it seems like it preloads the whole file before it starts playing it back. It was never an issue as I have about 50mb/s read speed on my hd, but with huge audio files (more than 100mb) on the dvd-ram, it loads annoyingly long before playback starts.

I tried using vlc and playback starts as soon as the dvd is ready (seek time)
I found an old winamp version with an in_wave.dll versio0 of v2.09 and with that one it starts just as quickly as vlc does, but it seems not to be able to handle 32bit float files as I get lots of distortions and dropouts

I could use vlc for that, but I actually dont like vlc.

Does someone have a in_wave.dll that actually does not read the whole wav file before it starts playback? It would be very useful to me, cause I have to listen to alot of project files all day, and now from an optical medium like the dvd-ram this preload behaviour is not acceptable anymore..my actual in_wave.dll version is: 3.18

help!!
