The world is made of conflicts: good and evil, order and chaos, light and dark, hot and cold. All are essential to life. None can prevail for any length of time, or life will fail. In the end, the best any can hope for is balance.

I did search, but I searched for this forum. Didn't think about searching in "Breaking News" considering it has to do with movies.

The movie forum hasn't been around for very long, ans that's why probably only few people frequent it (Good that you at least did search though! )

I think it's alright when a mod locks this so the discussion can be continued in the news board...

Anyway, back to the subject:

Personally, I'd rather wait for the widescreen DVD release of Episode III, and if 20th Century Fox Home Video put all 6 episodes in a box set, then I might buy the set, but waiting until next year for ep. 3 has got me just about uninterested in the whole thing.

I just picked these up...the picture quality is amazing compared to VHS..the changes aren't too unbearable. I would like the originals released but we're lucky enough that Lucas didn't digitally replace Mark Hamill with Vin Diesel or Chewie with Jar Jar...yet.

Yeah I think it would have been nice to have double sided DVDs. One side with the new remastered edited stuff and the other side, still remastered, but without any of the new edits. Maybe George Lucas will take that into consideration when he releases the full set...

If three is a trilogy....is six a sextilogy? It sounds so...dirty.

The "edits" are scenes George meant to put in the 3 original releases, but wasn't able too. I have the widescreen special edition of the trilogy on VHS (which I bought last year), and personally, I think they're better with the "edits."

Well, you'll have a long wait since Revenge Of The Sith comes out May 19, 2005.

One of my friends got this set at the beginning of the week and I started watching them on Tuesday night. The remastering has been done quite well giving nice improvements to colour etc. whilst also including a few editted scenes with better special effects. Pretty good from what I've seen so far.

Kids, you tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is, never try.

I just watched A New Hope on DVD. It was pretty sweet graphically. One thing that kind of bothered me was the audio. It seemed like during conversations the voices would go from loud to soft every other sentence. I can't remember if it was that way in the old one. I'll have to go back and check.
