if you could have a one2one...

If oyu could have a one2one with anyone in past, present or future, whether they're famous or not, who would it be? and what would you ask them?

i would ask adam what rating he would give Eve out of 10.

(probably an 8)

use the search, that's what it's there for.

Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead.

He's a fuggin god of music. He inspired Phish, Guster, and even Dave Matthews Band's music.

ok, being semi serious, i would ask Tom what he ever had against Jerry, apart form the fact that he was a mouse.

and now being completely serious, i would ask james dean where his car went that nobody knows where it went (someone must know the one i'm on about)

use the search, that's what it's there for.

The soldier who had Hitler clearly within the sights of his gun in WWI, and ask him why he didn't just kill the wounded bastard.

If you don't look, I'll force you to.

I would ask Charles Mingus how he thought up his music and his feelings about all the racial tensions being experienced in jazz at the time (and how that fueled his music).

thanx bloozbone, that's exactly the one i was talking about. that'd be amazing if i knew where that was. my guess is that it's in some personal collectors' garage, about 10 stories underground, kept in a top secret bunker, and.... well, you get the idea.

use the search, that's what it's there for.

There is actually pretty sound historical evidence that Jesus existed physically here on earth. As to him being the Messiah, that's a whole different discussion. One I would stay out of, since religious discussions usually turn ugly.

(BTW, why did you call binary hero an idiot? He said God, you said Jesus. A lot of Christian religions see them as separate beings.) ???????? Maybe you owe him an apology? I think the very forgiving Jesus would have wanted it.

Hey guys --- a LITTLE off topic here, but I'm rather new, and I'd like to know the keystrokes involved in cutting and pasting text from another post (as in the ones above by SNYder and randman); and why are the bracketing lines different? (i.e. randman's double-lines vs. SNYder's single lines). Thanks.

there are lots of different forms of the christian church
i only know a bit about some, but from what i know, there are major differences
take the catholic and anglican church: the catholic church believes that priests and other holy people are required to forgive people's sins (as intermediarys w/ god), whereas anglican and other church's believe that forgiveness comes directly from god, priests and such aren't needed, but are helpful

There are many, many different denominations of the Christian religion. Some believe God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are one single being. Some believe they are three separate beings. Research it yourself.

And if your attempt was to disprove what I said, why didn't you offer some kind of intelligent argument? "Huh?" "Wha?" and "Heh" doesn't make you come across as very bright. Actually it makes you look like quite a dumbass. IMHO.

I was raised presbyterian as a kid, but as I got older and acquired independent views and knowledge, it became increasingly more apparent to me that God exists in multiple forms. Cultures from around the world call Him by different names, but they all point skyward to the same entity. That's why I have problems going to so-called "Non-denominational" Christian churches these days. They still preach that the only way to God is through Jesus. So that means all of the people in the Middle East, Africa and Asia that preach to other dieties don't know God? You're from a tribe in the remote part of the Sudan that's never seen a white man so you don't know God? Pretty ignorant thinking, if you ask me. Just because you've never been exposed to Christianity doesn't mean that you're going to hell when you die.
