There have been plenty discussions about it:

About the new Firefox version, And comparisons to other browsers here, here and here

I'm too lazy to list the other 10+ threads

But to answer it once again, I use Firefox, the nice people here converted me.

No kind of pressure what so ever...

But yes, I use Firefox as well.
When I use IE (at school) I always get lost in all those new windows that are popping up.
Vive la tabbed-browsing!

Good Winamp plugins by Joonas, DrO and shaneh.

They are, but since Firefox is a sub-project of the Mozilla suite, I just refer to them together.

Speed, safety, reliability, simpler, more configurable. I would take it that you use Winamp over WiMP. You don't need to use Winamp, you just realize that its better and choose to use it.

I'm perfectly happy with being in a minority that uses Firefox.
Call me selfish, but I'm gonna let people find out about firefox for themselves.
Reason: If more people use it (because they find how much better it really is), more spy/adware will be written to exploit holes in it (all software has security holes).
Especially since it's open source, and anybody can look at the code for holes.

Of course, the lack of ActiveX is a major advantage security-wise.

I know...that the software gets updated, but you're not following the concept:
More use == more malicious programing
and I'm not sure an open source community can battle this, since you know, the source is free to look at.

Except virus writing script kiddies usually don't dig through xxx thousand lines of source code trying to find bugs so this is kinda moot.

"virus writing script kiddies" usually won't do buffer overflow testing/exploit writing either, what's your point?

The theory is that most people who are capable of looking for and recognising vulnerabilities are not only able to repair them, but are less malicious than most others. Even when they just notify of a vulnerability, most of the programmers will - theoretically - be focussed on fixing, rather than exploiting, the bug.

The biggest problem, by far, is users not upgrading, with open source or otherwise.
