0.99F: System Hog?
I've just downloaded the new 0.99F version (with some difficulty, the server kept denying the file existed. Then it decided it did, then some of my friends said it didn't exist, then I got a page without the download link, and so on...). Meh, server lockup...
What's bugging me is that my FPS has dropped by a good 10-15 frames per second, and I eventually just reinstalled 0.99E. Is anyone else getting this significant a problem? Or should I just buy a new PC (Please say "yes", I'd love to be able to tell people I got a new PC to use Milkdrop ![]() Apart from the poor framerate on the new version, Milkdrop is my new God. So you're not exactly doing badly ![]() |

I don't get a slowdown at all compared to other versions.
considering Ryan optimised some things, it should actually go a little faster. Other than the slow down when I have text on (fps meter, etc), it runs as smooth as ever - Krash |

I don't have that problem either, in fact, it's faster than ever. I can even run it in desktop mode finally, not full res yet, vid card can't handle it.

Well, now that I've downloaded it and reinstalled several days later, it likes my PC and, yes, it does improve the framerate.
COOL! |

What should the FPS at in desktop mode?
Half Res Mesh: 32x24 No hardware blit Auto for texture size And it runs at about 9 fps on a Win2K TNT2-M64 -Zevlag- |

desktop mode bl0ws on nVidia cards. Something to do with the drivers. If you turn hardware blit on, it will be way faster, but won't look right.
