MPEG Links Clicked From IE Don't Open

I'm not sure if this is a WinAMP problem or not, but it could be a problem with agent.

Anyway, here's what's happening.

If I go to a page that has MPEG Audio (.MP2) files for download, they open in RealPlayer, even though I have gone into RP and unchecked *all* MPEG types. In WinAMP, I've gone in and made sure that it is set as the default player for MPEG audio.

Here's a page with some MPEG files on it:

When I click on any MPEG link, they open in the RealOne player. When I uninstall RP, IE jumps to a blank page that shows the icon you'd see for an IE file in Windows Explorer in the upper left hand corner of the page and nothing else.

Going to the above page and clicking the MPEG link in Netscape seems to work, however. Netscape downloads the file, and then it plays in WA.

This is driving me crazy. If you could help out or even point me in a direction where I can find the answer, it would be greatly appreciated.

Btw, I'm using IE6 and Win2K SP2.
