How not to whip a llama's a$$?

Hi Guys,

Is there a way to remove the "Whips the Llama's Ass" track from the setup file?

I want to suggest winamp to our listeners, but they are Bible people, and don't really like the language.

(I do! I mean, who wouldn't want to whip a llama's ass? They have no humor, though.(the Bible listeners, not the llamas))

Best,

Tim

I don't think there is an easy way to delete it. You can open the installer with 7-zip to view the contents but it throws some warning when you try to modify the 'archive'. I think you would have to rebuild the installer. Anyway, I think that the Winamp redistribution terms don't allow for modification of the installer.

ass means the glutimus maximus in that context. it does not mean sphincter or anal.

I can't see how the word ass could possibly offend anyone in this day and age.(unless they really do have a pain in the ass... but then they should probably see a doctor)

the word ass is in the bible anyway(not in the same context), and whore and harlot is also in the bible.

In America men say of women, "nice ass."

I just need to know if there is some way I can take it out or alter the way it plays.

No, you can't. Not legally anyway.

If you distribute the installer without it, you will be breaking the commandments, don't do it.

The versions of winamp distributed with the AOL client included a different demo mp3 "llama tested, mother approved". I'm unsure where those distributions went to, as far as I know, the build process no longer creates them. But I would suggest that it would be entirely within realm to create an installer that included that file as a replacement.

How about creating your own installer with winzip.
Let it run the WA installer first and then replace the mp3 with one of your own by overwriting the original.

Create an installer with winzip? I knew you could create a self extracting archive, but not an installer. Could you explain?

Im a christian and it never offended me. I cant really see how it would really offend anyone. all youd have to do is tell whoever is getting it that it will play ONCE after it is installed. I coundt even find it agian right away when it first came out. its not damgerous.

I think this is an overboard reaction. King David 'Pissed' against the wall. read it in Samuel. "I count everything as dung (shit) compared to knowing Jesus". (Paul said this). He meant shit. No matter how you say it, it means the same thing.

It is just the word ass. and never sounded vulgar to me. whips the llamas ass. and believe me, im a very consertive thinking person.

some people need to lighten up and enjoy life.

i suppose everyone will be offended by something.

offenses will come. yes.

I don't think so, but I do find the censorship offensive.
