Xbox game suggestions

I'm looking to add a game or 2 to my very limited selection. So far I have
GTA: Vice City
GTA: San Andreas
Half Life 2
NFS Most Wanted

Obviously I'm going to be getting Halo 2(maybe Halo as well) as my next purchase. Suggestions?

I've never owned an XBOX so I can't help you there. However, whenever I'm looking for some great titles for any console, I just do a Google search for best [insert console name here] sleepers. You'll be surprised at what you'll stumble upon.

Favs for buying:
"Knights of the old Republic 1" (RPG)
"Knights of the old Republic 2" (RPG)
"Jade Empire" (RPG)
"Halo" and "Halo 2" for endless Multiplayer fun
maybe "Dead or Alive 3" (Beat em up)

Fav for renting:
"Area 51"(FPS) nice atmosphere but after finishing once(which took me about 9 hours) there is nothing worth for keeping it.

Burnout. You need Burnout, either Takedown or Revenge. They both made racing games fun again for me (the last racing game I had enjoyed before that was the arcade version of San Francisco Rush 2049.) I can't recommend enough that you get one or the other of these, depending on your budget (Takedown will probably be much cheaper but it's a year older.)

The Halo games are the next on my list. I played Area 51 on a PS2 one time. Felt a bit too much like Half Life. I'll be checking into the KOTOR games. I've heard they were good.

I haven't heard a lot about Doom III since it came out. Is it good?

I've been playing Gears of War since December. It's the best game I've played on the 360 console. Amazing graphics, great gameplay, and pretty addictive online play.

If you're like me, you'll like Crackdown more than Gears Of War. I loved the game and its vaunted graphics, but the atmosphere was just too oppressive for me (and the level design felt a little restricted.) It felt like HL2 to me--great graphics, great innovations...which is REALLY frustrating given how much things are scripted and linear. Gears also felt a little too hard to me (maybe I should have started out on easy rather than medium) without much there to reward the effort.

I finally got Halo 2(Limited Collector's Edition). It was the same price as the regular Halo 2 so I just grabbed it. $30 isn't too bad I say. If you must know, I bought it at Gamestop used. Yes, it came with the extras DVD and booklets and metal case.

if you havent played it for ps2, get midnight club three dub edition remix for your plain old xbox, if you didnt trade that in for credit towards your 360. customizing cars is quite fun in that, as is the structure of the campaign and especially the premise and execution of how you race. best racing game ever. crap soundtrack though. thank goodness for xbox's custom soundtrack feature. however, im not sure about the remix version, but in the original version, that feature kinda sux as well. it always starts from around the beginning of your playlist and the shuffle doesnt really work.

as far as 360 is concerned the one game that i really want to play for that is elder scrolls oblivion. ive seen a game of the year edition for ps3, im not sure if thats out for 360, but the game of the year edition came with a few expansions for morrowind's version when that came out. if you do decide to get oblivion be sure to look into that to make sure you get as much game as possible.

be aware dub edition is just about the most frustrating game ive ever played. but i kept playing it. that bloody thing made me a zen master of patients compared to what i used to be. (in regards to most things anyway... god help me.)

To my tastes, the best 360 games are:

Burnout (Revenge, but I'd wait on the new one)
Crackdown
Dead Rising
Halo 3
Gears of War.

And really, I think Perfect Dark Zero is worth the ~$15 it sells for now. It's clearly a rushed title, but the graphics were a great first-gen attempt and you might be able to buy it used for the cost of a rental. Just don't expect to play it online--not too many people ever did, from what I hear.

Next game on my list is Call of Duty 4. My sister works at GameStop and checked it out so I could check it out. I liked it a lot. It was really a fun game. I was only able to check the campaign part and didn't take it online which I heard is awesome.

It's fun but it's freakin' hard (but don't play it on the easy difficulty or it'll go by too quick). And it looks gorgeous on an HDTV and/or monitor.

Also try:
Burnout Paradise (I haven't played it but I heard it's like an MMO for cars, or something)
Crackdown
Dead Rising (GTA with zombies)
Guitar Hero/Rock Band series
Forza 2 (but only if you really like cars)
Rainbow Six Vegas 2

And when all else fails, play Halo 3 and CoD 4 online moar.

This is a sig of some nature.

Burnouts Multiplayer can be fun, but the Singleplayer can get boring if you want to find all the stuff and some Races are very hard. at least that's what my friend said. (has it on PS3 tho)

I think I'm starting to get better at games like CoD4 and Halo 3. Ever since I bought the 360 I've died less and killed more. I've also played a lot more.

What other games are like CoD4 and Halo? Are there any that are better?
