Minidisc support in 5.35

I have a MD Walkman MZ-NH600D that hasn't been used for a year or two. Hooked it up and Winamp detects it as a music player, so I tried to send some files from my library to it.

The problem is, it doesn't playback on the unit itself.

The unit can function as a 1GB hard drive, and can play back music files through Winamp.

Does anyone know of, or is there support, for Mini Disc players through Winamp?

Any support or assistance is appreciated. I'll mention up front I won't use Sony's Connect or Sonicstage software. It's too buggy, too clunky and I prefer Winamp.

Thanks, DJ Egg, but that didn't help.

The MD player converts the music, whether it be MP3 or (crappy) ATRAC codec into a single database file that the player reads.

I did a little more websurfing, found a couple other programs (like WinCue), but none of them helped.

Oh, well. At least I have a slow and clunky 1GB storage drive now...
