Nullsoft Tray Control v0.2 systray button order

Default order in the systray (from left to right) is : Play/Pause | Stop | Next | Previous

Please change it to :
Previous | Play/Pause | Stop | Next

And a toolbar would be even better :

That's why I'm not asking for it, just some button-position tweaks in the systray.

I know it can be modded, but a change in gen_tray would be better for everybody since the current button positions are less than ideal. The button-order in gen_systray should be the same as in the Main Window for the sake of consistancy.

I'm not using the plugin (I wonder, that someone really uses Justins old plugin ) but I have to agree, the button positions are really awkwardly.

ah, you're using XP and that does weird things with the system tray icons. i've just tried it on 2k and it appears in the order as they go down the dialog. if i get the time i'll have a look and see if we can mod up a fixed version of it

This is really related to the operating system? I'm on XP too.

DrO, you made me curious, I'll test it on a Win98 maschine.

colorspace: maybe this is interesting for you:

http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=146269

but it has the same WinXP bug.

resource modified versions of the gen_tray.dll aren't ideal and is why i'm going to be trying to natively implement the ability to set the icons to use as well as fixing the XP order issues from above in the next few hours.

i agree that they aren't that great but the reason for my comment is that if there's a bug fix to the dll then whoever modified the dll needs to know and update their version so any fixes, etc will remain. this is why i'm modifying the plugin so that it'll accept a text file which specifies the icon files to use

Sounds great!
In the meantime I already got used to the reverse order in XP, but nice to see this fixed

Good Winamp plugins by Joonas, DrO and shaneh.

it's already fixed in the internal version i've built and Egg & colorspace have confirmed the issue is fixed (i'm guessing the xp way of handling the tray icons will remain in vista so i'm hoping the checks i've done will mean it works ok on that as well). and i've implemented a mini icon pack system which works pretty well from the tests done so far, just need to see benski about it (since i missed him yesterday)

The v0.20 plug-in seems to works perfectly in Vista build 5270, at least the tooltips. Winamp can't play back audio because my soundcard drivers are broken in Vista so I can't test actual behaviour.

people are free to make icon packs (hopefully the info in the plugin on what to do is enough). we shall be looking for user submitted packs after 5.2 and may look to a bundling option for the best (but it's got to look good on win2k and xp otherwise i'll not be best pleased )

Maybe martin.deimos should be the first to submit his icon pack
then he/we can take his hacked version of gen_tray off winamp.com/plugins, heh.
Thankfully, we got the icons out of it, and those are the ones I'm currently using...
and yeah, they look loads better than the built-in ones (on XP anyway).

An .icp file is just the same as an .ini file
ie. you make it in Notepad and save as (iconpackname).icp

The text in the .icp file just links to the 5 actual custom .ico files

Hopefully Jose Olarte will submit his icon pack too.

So his hacked version could be removed as well.

Martin, well done, now the Tray plugin is finally usable.

I couldn't resist since this set looks so good on 2k and XP. If there was anyway for martin's one to fix the gui issues on 2k (must be the background/transparent colour at fault) then i'd be happy

siebe83: lol. as for the other question, i don't know either..

Well done, I tried it too, but I'm not good with graphics, so I had problems with the transparency.

i'll be contacting Jose Olarte about a formal submission of the pack i've done above. also going to try and sort out a few others in there and possibly use the Nullsoft Skinz account for submitting some icon packs to get things going.

Btw, the plugin search seems to be broken.

And DrO, thanks for making Tray Control 1.0 possible.

Maybe an installer with credits? This is just an example, the installer could be improved (autodetect Winamp dir etc), so it is easier to have more than one icon pack.
