A puzzle for the pic'ers

Does anyone know of any pic skins that use one single uninterrupted pic for the entire length of the skin (Main to Playlist)? If you know of any, or have done any yourself, can you please tell me how the repeating tile in the Playlist titlebar issue was resolved?

I say it's an impossible feat. Eeeemposssssible!! Especially with a busy background. You can't do it unless you make a titlebar.

Am I right?

I did a zappa picture skin (nr 4 in my sig)where I tried to discreetly black out the tiles. But I was lucky because the picture was dark at the bottom so it wasn't very tricky.
I don't know if this was of any help but I hope you can use it.

1 2 3 4 5

This sentence is a lie!

It can be done depending on the pic that is used, but it will always be a compromise, cause you will always screw the pic up if you strech the playlist

Well, the only skin I can think of off the top of my head like that is Zima - my winter skin. The pic basically goes from the top of the main all the way down to the stacks. The PL-tile issue is avoided, for obvious reasons. For anything that doesn't include a repetitive pattern or a one-colour plane, I can't see it being pulled off. Is it worth it for just that little bit of extra space, anyway?

Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an action, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny.

All my skins: @ winamp.com @ 1K1WS @ Deviantart.com

Completely right
Even if you manage to make a nice tiling pattern... you'll then have to make it again, because it uses half-tiles.

Many who live deserve death, some who die deserve life - can you give it to them?
Then be not so quick to deal out death in judgement.

yeah, you can kind of fake it with some patterns, but when you stretch the titlebar the pic ends up out of proportion, and the sidebars have to be repeatable as well. Making a titlebar that isn't relatively plain is enough of a pain as it is, that's more grief than even I'd like to tackle.
