Halpppp! Joy's New Computer AMD & CDXP

Ok! So, Joy has a new computer. It's a HP Slimeline with AMD Phenom 11 chip(processor) and Radeon Graphics.I downloaded CDXP Burner, which, I like very much. It shows her E drive in its program window, but then doesn't recognize any blank CD. Message: Disk is full. If you load disk first, then open program, it gives Message: no compatible driver(or drive) Some forums say to disable AHCI, Some say to delete the lower and upper registry filters, some forums say to use "RAID'(the game control one?) Anyone here have a AMD processor and use CDXP and how did you get it to work. I could follow instructions, but I really don"t want to mess with her registry. CDXP is a very good lil' program, I'd like to get it to work. Currently she has Power2Go for burning. Thanking mew all in advance.

On an Intel machine CDXP needs that Intel Mass Storage Control. But AMD has forty different answers. The Net Framework stuff is in, smeggie. And thanks, smeggie I'll try that program. I do like CDXP, I learned about it here.

XP Burner is ok but it does give issues and needs extras for it to work ..

ImgBurn comes as is and just works.. least I've never had a problem with it.. very intuitive program especially for burning/making .iso's

ImgBurn is probably one of the best cd burning apps for Windows, and it's free!

^Thanks. I'm just usta' CDXP and thought there would be an easy way to make it work with AMD Phenom 11
She wants to burn music, mostly. I like the fact you can burn at 16x(under run) and get a good music CD from CDXP. But I will look at ImgBurn.

First, make sure you're using latest version of CDBurnerXP.

If that doesn't work, update the drivers for the controller.

The HP website should have recent drivers for that exact model. Go to support & drivers, then search for the model number and go from there.

I'm assuming it's Win7, if so, drivers directly from AMD can be found here: http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloa...win7-32.aspx#3

Dude! Did the first and second, which wasn't needed because it's new. Wasn't sure if I download RAID thing or Southbridge or Catalyst or what cuz I got a little confused as to which does what. And I use the 32 bit? It's a AMD Phenom 11 and Radeon Graphics. Quad Quad(not a Duck)Thanks for replying. Now, go save the world.

...gunna have to jump on the bandwagon here. QOAL turned me on to imgburn after I had annoyed him with far too many questions about other programs that "look better but act worse".

Nothing special about it; it just, well... works.

What types of discs are you trying to make? Music? Video? Picture? Data? And, what kind of media are you using? CDs? DVDs? BDs? Answer that and we'll teach you a pretty straightforward way to do it quickly and easily and you'll be enjoying your burns without all the headaches.

I am trying to teach Joy to burn music CDs'(Mostly, although she a great photographer). Power2Go wouldn't burn some of the music files I dumped on her computer. CDXP had no problem with them(nyahh, nyahh and stuff). So, I wanted an easy to use, good, reliable program that would burn music cd's for her car and stereo system, and something easy for her to use. I like to burn at a slow rate(pref, 16x2200 or so) And I usually use Sony CD-R but any input on what's good is appreciated. Thanks. Don't think I'm not still looking st Atmo's post...but I don't know if it's RAID for Game or AHCI. And I don't want to screw qith her new HP and mess it up.
