No, can't imagine I will any time soon, only use IE at work and that's only been upgraded to 8 in the last couple of months, imagine it'll be any number of years before we go to 9.

IE at home is only there for windows updates and that's about it.

They still use IE6 at work, or did untill a couple of weeks ago, now they have Firefox.

IE6 is still used for a couple of websites that hold just about all of my countries personal information, because you know, government security is great.

wow, lucky you, even typing firefox or chrome at work sets off the firewall alarms.....imagine how hard it was for me to buy some new bathroom taps recently at work when every page contained the word chrome.....

I tested IE9 beta a month back or so. It looks like Chrome, it's fast... But I hated IE9 font styles on some websites, so I didn't use it much.

I0m still using good ol' Fox for most of the things and sometimes Chrome for browsing, since it's much faster than my almighty plugins Fox.

Using Firefox 4.0. A few minor cosmetic complaints, but I like it. Waiting for a few add-ons to become supported/updated.

I think it's Google chrome ftw. I use Firefox for it's dev tools, but for browsing, I think Chrome can't be beat. On something light, like a netbook, the extra speed is a big selling point. On my fairly formidable desktop, it's just sorta .... clean... lean and mean The linux versions of Chrome past have been a little twitchy. It seems like they worked it out though.

IE9? Well, I didn't like 8,7,6,5,4,3,2 or 1, so I'm not optimistic.

9 is quite quick and has some nice features. I'm just usta' it. It seems quite a bit faster than 8 and has some nice features I don't use. I like firefox for downloading and converting videoes, as I am somewhat poor right now.

I've been testing it at work since the beta was released. We had no major issues with rendering or stability (the sites that did break it worked in compatibility mode) and it does seem a little faster than 8. Integrating the search bar and address bar, and removing the status bar by default will confuse some users though. I expect we'll get a few calls about those when we do roll it out.

Overall, it's a good version of IE, an incremental improvement making it the best so far. That said, there's absolutely nothing about it that makes it compelling to switch to (or back to) if you're already using chrome/firefox etc.

Do you really want to be?

If you do, then the first thing to know is that if it works for you, it's okay.
There is no 'best' browser. It completely depends on which websites you visit. And then, there are no 'bad' browsers anymore either.

The only reason we discuss it so often is for the discussion

If there were, it would be Microsofts browsers. Writing webs that display correctly on it is a bitch due to Microsofts refusal to follow html conventionality. You should see some of the style sheet tweaks in wordpress and others to support the twitchy bastards. That is IE browsers.

I'm rocking 6 at work as well.

Hey, we just moved past NT 4 to XP! Unfortunately, I'm not shitting you here.

Bloody hell. I used NT 4 at Uni. To have to use it again over 10 years later was just torture. "Upgrading" to XP after MS officially retired it frosted my buns!

Yep! I did it. I use all important updates. And no optional. I hate bing and windows essentials 2011. Others like it.
I didn't realize that a service pack was a big deal....

I can't test IE9 (what a shame!) because as a poor loser with morals, I'm not buying some over priced OS and cba with pirating it.
So I'm blindly hoping it actually complies with web standards fully this time. (Which is important to me, as 90% of my output seems to be web related.)

Firefox 4 is good, the chrome copying for the gui isn't something that I like at all, but that's nothing an extension or two can't fix (along with some stylish scripts). Other than that it brings its self back up to a fighting position - 3.6 was around for far too long, they really should of released 3.7) -- Oh yeah the new message boxes/prompt/inputs are yucky.

Chrome finally seems to clip box-shadows correctly, which is a shame because I used to enjoy moaning about webkit being crap at that. (The shadows still have a lame roll off)

Finally, Opera is still opera. (It's like the quiet one that does really well, but has some oddness and no-one really bothers with it anyway)

You all care about what I just wrote, yes. (Have a free just incase.)

Win XP < IE9? I figured they would just give up by now.

I'm running Firefox 4, only thing I hate is where the home button is.

Faorite feature so far is modifying where the tabs are, helpful indeed.

All I have is back(pulldown), stop/refresh and forward(pulldown).
That's it. (edit: removed the status bar as well)
And when I open my browser, all the tabs that were open when I closed it are still there.

my browser:

Somehow I couldn't attach that screenshot to this post; the attachment manager said the file was invalid. bullshit.

homepage as in the page I start with or the ISP webspace?
I have my own server, but no 'starting page' - like I said, I continue from where I left.

If I want to use google, I just type "g searchterm" in the address bar (I'm using Opera)

it installed itself as part of an update to IE and windows explorer earlier today, might not have bothered but windows explorer is a pretty core part of the windows OS/Shell so i figured fuck it.

tried it.... errr... no.
firefox 4 is what i'm using and even at that it's only my favorite since it has adblock plus, tbqh firefox isn't really that great, it's plugins are why people use it.

I use it for the plugins, but also the spellcheck, memorization of fields if I accidentally click away from a mostly filled out form, and other reduction-of-stupid-user-error features.

And my Firefox layout looks like this (which isn't a valid image file according to the forums.winamp.com server):
