Move winamp settings to MP3 instead of Microsoft soundwaves

I recently got a new computer. Installed winamp. But now, when I rip music from a CD, it comes out in Microsoft soundwaves. On my old computer, it converted everything to MP3 files, which I prefer. How can I set my new winamp settings to automatically convert everything I rip straight to MP3 files? I do not choose to use iTunes. Also, is it possible to import the contents of my playlists from my old computer to my new one?

Thanks very much,
Mike Hicks

First, you need to be using a PRO licence to rip to MP3.

Second... open Winamp Preferences. Look for Media Library section, and then select CD Ripping. You can now choose your preferred ripping format and settings here. (You can also tweak rip location and how the files and folders are named in these same settings pages)
