Media Library - How about an "Is VBR" conditional?

Problem: I'm trying to replace all my low quality music. To do so, I first need to identify which files need replacing. When I create a Smart View to display files less than 160kbps, a large number of low-complexity VBR songs are being caught in the mix -- particularly ones with hidden bonus tracks preceded by several minutes of silence. Obviously, this isn't what I want.

Solution: I propose an "Is VBR" conditional similar to "Is video". Filtering by "Bitrate (KBPS) Is Below 160" and "Is VBR Equals 0" would give me exactly what I need.

Yes, I assume there are other applications I could use for this purpose, but I want to use Winamp.

Thoughts?

in the meantime, you could create a smartview that lists all the CBR bitrates... 128, 96, 64, 32, etc...

BUG #1 = Winamp skips short tracks
Wish #1 = Multiple Column Sorting
Wish #2 = Add TCMP/Compilation editing

That's one option, and indeed, one that I've already tried. Unfortunately, too many of my VBR files average out to CBR rates for it to be useful.

If you mean that you are unwilling to use any other application to write tags, then I have no advice.
But Mp3tag identifies VBR and CBR using an "information field".
Using Mp3tag, that field can be copied to another called CONTENTGROUP which is displayed in Winamp as Category. Now searches and Smart Views can use Category to identify CBR tracks.

Windows 10 Home, 64 bit, Winamp 5.666, Bento Skin
