Vista-Compatible Alternative to Toaster

Hiho... been a while. Since the search didn't return anything useful - are there any plugins that display pretty much the same stuff as Toaster in a pop-up or toast, which are Winamp compatible? Maybe just a mod that adds album art to the Notifications system that's already built into Winamp Modern?

Looks good, but in the 5 minutes I've tried to use it, it's already crashed 3 times - this thing is nowhere near a release candidate status yet

Are you saying Toaster does not run in Vista?
I dunno, since I'm still using XP and won't go to Vista yet, not for awhile, since I personally feel it was released prematurely and still has glitches (but that's just my opinion).

If Toaster isn't working in Vista, have you tried contacting Shane Hird (Toaster author)?

I don't know if Shane did any work on Toaster yet for Vista, but he mentioned it last year in this post.

Does it really matter when a Microsoft product is released? They always contains glitches (but that's just my opinion).

True, JM!

But I also won't "upgrade" (if that's what changing from XP to Vista can be called) till more software is developed that is Vista compatible.

For instance, Vista "claims" that they sport a 2-way firewall (unlike XP's built-in firewall), but it still pales in comparison to the Comodo Firewall, which is what I use (and recommend). Unfortunately, Comodo hasn't developed a Vista-compatible version yet.

Also... remember the travesty that Gates released named Windows Millenium? That was a disaster then and still is now.

I am still holding on to WinXP as long as I possibly can. Vista is not exactly on my top ten list.
