Hell, If I'm going, I'm taking some people with me. Luckily for everyone, suicide is a sin against God and Man. May we each find this Christmas more than we deserve. Oh poor me. The self involvement of people is absolutely amazing, in measure with what we are not grateful for. Even if it is a cow.

The original topic is "The time has come"...
And the time has come to leave the terrible year 2012 behind us. The year 2012 really sucks!...
A little bit more funny: I have sent a PM to myself instead to someone alse, when I wanted to add further news, sorry. The situations themselves are not so funny, the situations are very terrible...
I wish You all a better new year 2013...

Yup, caught my dad out there shoveling in a blizzard. He's got a plow on his tractor and a 24" heavy-duty snowblower, and he's out there with the shovel... I took over for him, but it's hard to tell what he'll do next. Most things we don't mind, but that's something I hope he'll do less of.

Enjoy the trip. Watch the tire tread and change the oil often.

If I were you I wouldn't worry about your dad. He's in denial. But I think it's healthy denial. The day he can't do his chores is going to be the most devastating day of his life. Being able to do these things is part of a man's identity, contrasted by the day we'll sit in a wheelchair and get spoon fed our mush.

I need reading glasses to read anymore. Even that told me something I didn't want to admit.

We have a subreddit on reddit.com, I think that is a good place for people to migrate to.

I can make a facebook group.... I don't use reddit.... could bother a few oldies on Deviantart.... I think I have Smeggle on facebook somewhere will have to go and look... Perhaps I can find Vie too? and I'm sure I can invite Mr 75 Mhz... we can re unite and band together on facebook!!!! Would people be happy for me to do this?

We can extend from the forums to all platforms... reddit... facebook... perhaps one day twitter and ruling the world...

That'd be awesome. I'd keep the group private so that it keeps group posts of the timeline and out of the eyes of friends and family who've probably never heard of Winamp.

I have many Facebook-Groups around Winamp. You can search in Facebook for "winamp", "milkdrop" and "music visualizer". If You see my name "Sabine Klare" there, then You can be sure, that these could be my own groups (I am also in some other groups)...

I have also in Google+ a group...

And I have bookmarked reddit.com now...

I'll make a special little place in facebook land for just us then

https://www.facebook.com/groups/257066117784672/

It's a closed group currently, I can make it secret later if we want too.
So you have to request an invite, say in a message which member you are. We shall live on!

They can take away winamp! They can take away our forums! But they cannot take away our booze fuelled, de railed conversations!

So far I've bothered Vie, Smeggle... can't remember on who deviantart is a winamp-er or not XD I'm sure we can track people together! It'll be like stalking

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan.

With the old 1001skins long gone, and with the DeviantArt winamp skin selection being a complete wasteland, the Winamp.com skins listing was the only place where my skins have any credibility. Gonna be really sad to have that gone.

Well this begs to differ;
'Now that it's nearly gone, those who want to relive old times should head over to Winamp's site before December 21st, when it'll no longer be available — its famous motto, of course, will always live on somewhere.'

hm, and what about http://techcrunch.com/2013/11/21/sou...namp-from-aol/

If that doesn't smell like even better marketing support for customizations i dunno.
cheers!

While still being sentimental: I got my first winamp on a cd where i had also found an early lame_enc command line encoder for mp3s and my 486 needed 15 minutes to encode a 5 minute track from cd...

Just published my new lyrics, after I have written them during listening to Electronic Music on Radio Sunrise:
http://www.lastfm.de/user/SabineKlar...neuem_planeten

I have used "ae" & "oe" & "ue" instead of "ä" & "ö &"ü", because international computer keyboards don't know them.

It is not always possible to write such musical lyrics in English, because then the textes wouldn't be so good. I had to write them in German. I hope, Google will be able to translate them for You at least partially...

Edit: Just published my next lyrics, also written during the listening, this time in English:

Been long since i visited this place, but now in the last few day's old sentiment me can't resist to spend as much time as possible on this corner of the interwebz. Digging for old memories and friends. Every second I browse this place gives me a emotional rollercoaster.
