how to get winamp to play a APE file

I have been trying to get winamp5 to play a .ape file normaly but I can not seem to do it. I new to this so please forgive me for asking.

Do not use the older published plugin at Winamp.com.

Instead, quoted directly from Monkey's Audio FAQs...

Basically, you need to unzip MACDll.dll from the zip.
Rename it to (eg.): in_ape.dll
Place it in the Winamp\Plugins folder
Then open Winamp.

Thank for the info but could you tell me if there is any way to get it to list the song that went into the ape file and why it seem to work only on one ape file and I can not get it to work on another one.

Sorry, but I don't understand what your problem is exactly.
Could you please explain it in more detail.

The Monkeys Audio (in_ape.dll) plugin works perfectly fine for me for all Monkeys files.
What did you use to encode them with, or if you downloaded these APE files then is there any chance of a link?

There are is a file I am trying to play that has the name ignited -イグナイテッド-.ape.cue. But is does not want to seem to play I have already got the another file that was .ape to play. Thought I notice that it was a bunch of song all togather. I was wandering if there was a way to list the songs in the second file. Plus if there was a way to get the ignited -イグナイテッド-.ape.cue file to play. I aready made the changes list in the earlier post.

.ape.cue isn't a song, it's a CUE sheet used to split up a long .ape file into separate tracks.

You can probably open it in a text editor.

Using MakeAPL is easier job for people.
