Ooh art forum.

I've seen those on your site Taylormemer, they're pretty cool.

Here's one of latest presets, although I'm not finished with the background yet. It's just a nifty little design I created. Responds to music very well too!

I dont know if this counts as art but anyway.

M83 a barred spiral galaxy. 3 minute exposure with a 10" meade LX200 telescope with a CCD camera on the back.

No, this is a black and white CCD(charged Couple Device) camera colour ones cost big amounts of money and all we really need is black and white. Its a digital camera that fits on the back of the scope then we take an exposure.
You can take colour pictures with a black and whit CCD, by using 3 coloured filters. The three filters are the three primrary colours. Take one pic with magenta. Take another pic with sian (what ever its called. And i cant remember the other colour.
Onece you have all three images mix them until you get the right colour.
We cant do this until we get filters and more experiance.

Thats what we do, we take the eyepiece off and put the camera on it. Another thing you can do is sick a normal film SLR camera on the side of the scope and take a long exposure then you get good colour images of entire constellations. But you wont see lots of detail in something like a galaxy or nebula.
