how do i get rid of "_" in playlist?

Hi Everybody!

How can i get rid of the "_" placeholders? why does'nt the playlist etc. read the mp3 tag, insteat of filename? most of the stations seem to have resolved that problem. we are running the shoutcast on a linux/apache server.

thanks a lot for your help,

domingo

An MP3 without a ID tag will display the filename as the track title (configurable in WinAMP) -- Avoid this issue by making sure that all of your MP3s have accurate, filled out ID tags.

The source app. determines how and which ID (v1/v2) tags are dealt with, and what appears as the track info when there is no ID tag.

FYI: WinAMP can edit/create ID tags from any loaded playlist. {rt-click}... File Info...

id3 tags are filled!

thanks for your reply!
but all our mp3 files on the server have the id3 tags filled completely!!! and the playlist (last 10 songs) on the shoutcast site just show the filename, and the same if you listen to the stream in winamp. just winamp does'nt show the underscores in the display. the problem is that we have also mac listeners that use i-tunes - same problem.
do we have to configurate something in the stream (shoutcast)?

thanks again for your help!

I see what you mean -- The track title is read, formatted and sent to the DNAS by the source app. -- the DNAS doest not modify what is sent by the source in any way.

If you're using WinAMP+DSP the track title formatting is found in the config for the MPEG Audio Decoder input plugin. If you're using something else, you have to find the docs for that app.

What Source app are you using?

sorry, was buisy the last weeks...

we did`nt start with live progam yet, so the source is "sc_trans" thing, playing the files from the content directory on the server.
