Moving Media Library from 5.13 to 5.5

I am currently still using V5.13 of Winamp and would like to upgrade now to the newest version. Most importantly for me would be that I don't loose all my ratings, playcounts, smartviews etc. while I upgrade.
I heard that I just need to copy some files for the move of the Media Library but I don't know which exactly I have to move. I also read in another thread that versions prior to 5.33 are not unicode and backing up that library isn't that easy. I hope someone could tell me how I could move my library. Thanks in advance.

I'm not 100% sure but I think as long as you just install 5.5 over top of your 5.13 everything should still be there. Now if you plan on doing a clean un-install you'd need to do some backing up.

"It is, in the end, whatever the Hell I want it to be,
And when I'm through with it, it's gonna blow a hole,
This wide, straight through the worlds own idea of itself.
They're throwing bottles at your house.
Come on, lets go break their arms."

Yup, just install straight on top.

The 5.5 installer will automatically convert the database to unicode, and everything will be ok.

But yeah, if you ever want to go back to a pre 5.3 version (not sure why anyone would want to do that) then you will need to make a backup of your ml database BEFORE installing 5.5

Backing-up Media Library database/ratings/playcounts:

winamp.ini, studio.xnf, gen_ml.ini, reg entries, backups etc
