Lightbulb Connecting an older encoder to the SHOUTcast Streaming Service

Depending on the encoder you are using, you may need to place
:#StreamID
after the password in your encoder settings. Your streamID is a number assigned to your station's stream. This is required for older encoders which do not support SHOUTcast version 2 or StreamID's. Appending this in the password field will allow older encoders to connect to our Streaming Servers which are running the latest version of our software. Check out SHOUTcast_Server_Source_Support for an in-depth guide on connecting older "legacy" source audio encoders.
