Seperate audio & video and embed video on website

Hi, we tested NSV today and had massive problems with the players. Only VLC did a good job and play the stream properly. Even winamp 5.x was unable to open it.(?)

So I came to the conclusion it would be best to seperate audio & video. So listeners connect to the audio stream with any player and watch the video stream on the website.

What does it require to split audio & video?
How to embed the video only stream on a website? New browser plugin problems might be ok.

Server is a linux. Cheers!

How do you plan to sync the audio to the video?

well I thought if splitting if possible it would be synch as if it comes together?
