Evil Dead and beyond

Last night, I attended a celebrity chat with Bruce Campbell, author and actor known best for his enigmatic portrayal of Ash in the Evil Dead trilogy. He's promoting his new book "If Chins Could Kill:Confessions of a B Movie Actor".
Anyway, being a mediocre fan of his horror movie work, I've struggled to figure out which parts he played in the following movies:

From Dusk Til Dawn II:Texas Blood Money
McHale's Navy
In The Line Of Duty:Blaze of Glory
Congo
The Quick and the Dead

The majority of these movies have been on cable for the past month and while I've managed to catch them, I still have no clue what parts he portrayed. How come I can't recognize him outside the Evil Dead trilogy? Does anyone else?

Evil Dead was just an appalinly bad, but very funny film.

That was the point - it was (obviously) never intended as a serious film, but rather as a pastiche of the horror genre. As such, I think it's absolutely brilliant. Criticising it for being a bad film is like attacking "Space Balls" in terms of it being a poor piece of sci-fi...

Simple Fact

The"Evil Dead"movies are brilliant I have them at home

and they were one of the few good horror films that got me into them

I remember about a year ago that there was a big rumor that there could be a new "Evil Dead" movie and I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything more about it?

Bruce says that he and director Sam Raimi have discussed it but the studios won't budget it since Army of Darkness did so poorly at the box office

Well, don't hold your breath, buckos. There have been rumors a plenty flying around the whacky Web so I have decided to post the definative answer.

The 4th installment hasn't been made for a simple reason - "Army of Darkness" didn't rake in enough cash to justify another film. The basic economics of Hollywood rule, gang, I hate to break it to you. It's like this - no Box Office, no sequel. No other explanation is correct, no other one is needed.

Let me be clear, however, on one point: I'd be happy to do it - so would Sam, but let's not beat that dead horse any more until it becomes a reality...IF it ever does.

Now, I could lie to you, but you're grown up (some of you) and I'm sure you'd rather have the straight dope than some phony wind-bag explanation. In the meantime, enjoy the slew of re-releases in stores now.
