Finding Men's Clothes.

WHY do malls have 75-80% womens' clothing? Why do all mens' clothes at the mall look near-identical and carry over season to season? Why do all male clothing stores seem to stock the same styles and even motifs? (Skulls and eagles, apparently those are the only two things that qualify to get put on a shirt this year.)

Shop online, you say. Same problem, except stock is even more volatile! Heaven forbid I find a shirt I like out of stock on one site and try to find it somewhere else! And the front-page banners always have really nice clothes on them...clothes they ran out of months ago and will never make again. Virtually all clothing sites with front page banners do this constantly. Or, my favorite, clothes they seem to have never actually sold at any point.

Of course, you can find cool clothes on the internet. Let me illustrate.

This belt? $330.

This nice coat? Who the heck knows, it's on eBay with bidding about to cross $200, with 2 days left. (usually the prices don't even rise until the last 6 hours.)

So I'm stuck either paying a full paycheck for each article of clothing, or playing hide-and-seek with online stock, or sleuthing around the malls for the tiny, unkempt mens' section. Man, things sure could be easier.

I find it just as frustrating for men to find as large of a deal selection on clothing as women can get...I've noticed that when I sift through the weekly Target ads, I'll only ever see one page for men's sale items, while women's sale items spawn 2-5 fucking pages...And the same deal goes when you take a physical walk-around in any other store...

I gave up a few years ago and now I only buy jeans/blank t-shirts or dress clothes for work. I'm down to about 3-5 days of clothes-shopping a year now. If the stores were better I guess I'd shop more often, but since they're not, I just don't bother.

So I'm guessing if your mom or your girlfriend shops for your clothes, you don't complain if what she brings back looks gay on you, right?

Nope, being male, shopping takes all of about 3 mins per item,
i go to the shop knowing what i want ( <-this is the key to all successful shopping missions)
Pounce on said item immediately upon entering shop, happy knowing i've got the right size cuz being male i don't kid myself i'm slimmer then i am,
& i stay focused and don't get sidetracked by moments like;

1. 'Ohh, does my bum look good in this?'
2. 'Ohh, i wonder if this comes in a lighter shade'
3. 'Ohh, maybe the other store sells it 99p cheaper'
4. 'Ohh, i think i'll try on 9 more pairs when i'm here'
5. 'Ohh, that looks neat, i'll try it on,even though i know i'm not gonna buy it'

This list is non-exhaustive...

I hate shopping. really, i do.

Too much is never enough...

But where do you know from what you want? You have to see what the shop offers first.

They just know.

Yes, really.

Sometimes I just need a pair of cotton pleated olive colored dress pants, size 32x32, in a brand I have known to be durable and comfortable.

I don't really have to shop to discover my taste, and I've fit the same exact sizes since the end of 7th grade in the year 1991.

I enter the store and go straight to men's dress pants. If they have it, I buy it. If they don't I leave and try somewhere else.

You could probably use a better partner.
