Auto Generated Remixes!

Well I got my "preset machine" pretty much built... although it still needs some work, and is a hell of a memory hog...

it mixes code based on the output variables of the type of code(per-frame,wave_per-frame,ect) randomly grabbing an "output algorithm" from one of two presets.. IE:
say this is in preset 1:

offset=sin(time);
zoom=1-offset;
mtime=mtime+bass_att;
rot=sin(mtime);

and preset 2 has:

mtime=mtime+treb_att;
rot=sin(mtime);
offset=cos(mtime);
zoom=1-offset;

and it decided to take zoom from preset1, and rot from preset2, it might output something like:

offset=sin(time);
mtime=mtime+treb_att;
zoom=1-offset;
rot=sin(mtime);

it can also mutate code by swicthing one var for another on one or more lines.

It "grades" presets based on how many q vars it creates vs how many it uses..

it takes almost 3min for it to do 5 generations of around 130 presets, generally producing 10-15 presets, 2-3 of which might not suck... it uses 200-250mb of ram the whole time.. its a beast...

none of these should be direct copies of other presets, but if they are let me know, I'll try to further ensure it removes parent presets from the output..

anyway, heres the first set(as far as I know) of computer generated remixes, I sifted through around 100 presets to get these..

that program wasn't a remixer, if my memory serves me all it did was randomly generate code strings from lists of variables, functions, and operators, with the option to include some pre-built code... thus creating some really crappy(yet original) presets.

My program doesn't pretend to be able to write code, it just mixes it, and sometimes does variable swaps.. its more like an advanced semi intelligent preset mash-up, as it mixes shapes/waves and shaders too.

that last batch I posted btw are all broken, well kinda, none of them have the shapes/waves actually enabled, cause of a stupid typo( = is not the same as == , btw)

I'll be posting some more presets here soon that have there shapes and waves on... although I still think some of these ones are pretty good for being created programmatically, and not using shapes...

right now I'm having it mix old school 1.04 presets with V2 ones, should be cool to see some of the old styles with shaders on them...

ya the tex2d is cause someone actually released it that way... does that throw an error? I thought I removed all the ones with errors.. weird..
I'll have to hunt that down and remove the preset making it...

I'm impressed.
it seems i underestimated the power of remixing.
