I don't think there is a WYSIWYG editor for javascript I use Homesite for my javascripts(http://www.macromedia.com/software/homesite/).

cEdit - Code Editor is a very good editor.

Java specifically:
jEdit pretty good.
With jEdit, you might want jEdit Syntax Package which will highlight the syntax of your java program.

Then there is always Notepad.

Hope that helps.

WYSIWYG = What You See Is What You Get

And I use Metapad for all my text editing, but that's not what you're looking for... But for anyone looking for a simple text editor to replace Notepad, this is it.

Mmm, I've been using Textpad since it was still in the 2.x versions.. It's a great version, a lot to configure, templates, code highlighting.. very cool. 30 day trial though, after which you get pop-ups, but I can live with that.

Wanna see my Winamp 3?

UltraEdit

Just try it. (After changing the text highlighting)
