Racist Radio Station

I was shocked as I saw this Radio Station at the shoutcast list:

[Hatecore Oi RAC and W] Radio-White: Metal and Hardcore: Radio-White

Aren't the Stations checked that are listet? There are some radios running owned by that racist webpage: http://url.removed . Can't anyone stop them sending their white hate music over shoutcast?

Although Nullsoft and SHOUTcast may not agree with all the media broadcasted using their program, they can't discriminate against who can broadcast. Nothing can be done, unfortunately.

Not to mention, people have the right to believe in what they want, and have their own opinions. Us discriminating against that would be against their first amendment rights.

If they want to broadcast racists material, that's there problem. I don't think that shoutcast should start banning stations based on content. If I don't like what a station is playing, I stay far away. Let's keep the internet free of censorship. It's the last thing we have.

1.. They have EVERY right to broadcast whatever they like... (as long as its within the rules of posting)
2.. If they are NOT within the guidelines of posting, they they can become banned from the directory..
3.. Even if they are banned, they will still continue to broadcast..
4.. there are other stations engageing in far WORSE activities- such as pinging other stations' X+1 ports

5.. If Nullsoft started banning stations based on content.. then over HALF of them would be GONE!

That simply won't happen or the scam would really be exposed!

I haven't heard of people doubting the holocaust happened up until a few months ago. I don't understand it. However, your wish for them to all be banned from the YP may come true soon enough. The complaints continue to come in and I don't think I can continue to just stand idly by any longer.

Even though I don't agree with racism, I definately don't agree with censorship. I'm American, and with institutions like the RIAA, MPAA and FCC running across the globe keeping the people from having the CHOICE to decide what we prefer to listen to and watch - making such a move will simply open a can of worms that no one will be able to close.

Censorship has no place on the internet. It's the last place we have away from all this political correctness. Please, think about the long term effects this could have on the online community.

if a private compagny like AOL/nullsoft that offers this shoutcast list decides to ban certain stations from the list they are free to do so.
in that case it's their rules that keep them out.

this is not a case of censorship as you call it more a case of rules, like the forum rules you agreed to when you signed up.

the forum rules state - no advertising - should you do this you have a chance of getting banned , then why shouldn't Nullsoft have the possibility to ban stations from their list at www.shoutcast.com because they broadcast something that is not within the rules made by them??????
