Internet Radio and NEtgear MP101

Hi,
want to link my hifi with my computer to hear my favorite redio station.

Problem: Radio is only available as real Audio or Windows Meta file.

Here are the links
http://lsd.newmedia.tiscali-business...=live&media=ms

http://lsd.newmedia.tiscali-business...=live&media=rm

Can anyone tell me how winamp (or other) can play one
of this links?

Tried TARAs RA Plugin, but seems not to work.

Any ideas?
brgds

Umm is the "Windows Meta" one playable with Windows Media Player? If so Winamp should be able to handle it with it's WMP plugin I think...

Download the link to desktop (produces redirect.isc) and open in 'Notepad'

This is a playlist file in ASX or RAM format respectively.

Copy and paste the URL into Winamp's Menu > Play > URL.

Note.
If you get the file redirect.isc.ram you can double click to play.
The pnm:// stream in the Real Format redirect is an error message should you not have the correct codecs for the main file.
[edit]Don't install Real Player G2 if you get this message played, but post back [/edit]

Depends on your browser and how you have it set up.

I have mine set to download any unknown file types to desktop. So if I left click the link it sends 'redirect.isc'(without asx or ram) there. Possibly you don't have anything set and it defaults to temp.

If I right click the link and then 'Save link as .. ' I get 'redirect.isc.asx'(or 'redirect.isc.ram') and can save to a folder of choice.

radio plays wonderfully in winamp. Next step is now to send it to the netgear mp101. But that seems not to be so easy...

anyone managed it ?

Not sure if I understand you problem correctly or not, but I can play streaming radio on the MP101 by simply sending the radio station to a new playlist, then bookmark the playlist. From the MP101 select playlists, and then your radio station shows up and plays just fine.

managed that with the playlist, but the hifi ( or also the headphones) arent really receiving a good quality.Very high roaring and only very low radio sound.

winamp shows 20kbps 22khz and mono (seems not to be a good input).

But at the computer the sound is very good. no roaring. think the transvering via shoutcast dsp (input device: soundcard input) kills all the quality.

What is wrong in my settings?
can this be a problem of the soundcard?
