Wow, that's cool! So that's the type of software Pixar Animation Studios use? That's just so.......professional sounding! Nice diamond, too.

Would you have to buy that or can you download it for free?

My guess you have to pay upwards of $100 for it. My guess is that pimpin fresh got it from other sources though.

I messed with it years ago. I would import autocad drawings into it, and do animations. It worked pretty well. I haven't used it recently though.

How did you make the diamond?

3D Studio Max is professional software that costs, I believe, upwards of 500 dollars for one license.

If life calls and you're busy, let the answering machine pick-up.

Just so you know, my previous avatar was NOT a swastika, nor did it have much similarity to one. Just thought I'd clear that up since I cannot use my own original art work.

Depending on what kind of 3DS Max that you want to use, cost will vary. My instructor bought a version of 3DS Max that cost $10,000 for one license.

10,000 Thats cheap alltogether I have spent nearly $30,000, I stared with 3ds max 3 that was a coupl of thousand then I bought #4 and every upgrade then #5 now I have v5.1

And I made the diamond in like 10 mins, it was an easy thing to do, compared to others I have made.
EDIT: I forgot to add, I also bought Discreet (the makers of max) other software, Plasma and Combustion.

Actually, you can go to the Discreet website and order a demo CD, which is fully functional for 30 days. No piracy needed to try it.

If you find it, let me know on AIM (My name is "Ta mac daddy") and I shall help you out. It really is a simple thing if you know what all the tools do, and where they are, now animation, thats hard.

I have to confess, I'm a professional Graphic Designer and I have over $40,000 worth of software on my computer, which I did not pay for. Thank God for Kazaa.

Thank you God, Thank You.

BTW, You can buy an uninhabitable swamp for $30,000 dollars.

I agree. $30,000 worth of sofrware, and all we get is a 3d render of a daimond? I can do that in intelliCAD 98 if i freshen up on it some.

Downloading music/software is illegal, but if you are actually using the pirated goods to make money, that's even worse. Because you are professional, the odds of getting caught are much greater. Don't be stupid and just buy the damn software.
