Sync question

searched the wiki site for this first.
I understand when you hit sync the whole ML gets transferred. What if I dont want the whole media library on my ipod. I have a lot of music some belonging to my wife which is on the ML but I don't really want it on my ipod.
The thing is I can delete them manually from the ipod but everytime I sync it will just copy them back.
How can I choose what is to get sync'd?
Thanks, Tim

Did you really read the Wiki (http://mlipod.sourceforge.net/wiki/The_Sync_Process)? I thought that would tell you all the details about that. Basically, you can choose to only sync specific playlists or smart views, or use a dedicated sync query (which is just like Winamp's smart views). So you just have to create a query that selects all the songs you want to have on the iPod, set that as sync query, and that's it. You have to have some way to distinguish your files from your wife's, maybe by folder, or genre, or some kind of comment etc. If nothing else helps, simply create a regular Winamp playlist into which you stuff everything that is for the iPod (I have one called "For iPod") and select only this playlist for sync.

First, I would like to thank you and whoever else put time and effort into making this plug in possible, as well as for your time to offer assistance on the forum.
But seriously, with all do respect, why accuse me of not reading the wiki? if the wiki answered my question sufficiently then I would not need to post here. I would not waste my time, or yours posting questions I found answers too. The reason I made a point to say I read it is so it saves both of us the time so you don't have to respond to my post with a link to the wiki and say "read this first".

I really do appreciate your time, effort, and help with previous questions I have had, but if my post seems disingenuous, or irritating to you just simply don't answer it.

Well, didn't I answer it above? What exactly is missing for you? Maybe if you elaborate a bit on your problem, I or somebody else can help. I didn't want to put you down, I just thought that the guys maintaining the Wiki did a good job in describing it. If that's not the case, the Wiki page should be updated - but that needs your help, too.
