Confused Regarding Authhash

Hi.
I am really confused regarding the Authhash.
I still don't know how to create one. I log in one of my servers and there is "Create" and "Manage" Authhash. So I decided to click on the "Manage" and it took me to this page. https://rmo.shoutcast.com/Settings/Radio/create
that says
SHOUTcast Streaming Service Generate revenue with your station

Let SHOUTcast provide your station a complete hosting solution with stream management and unlimited bandwidth.

*Requires enrollment in the monetization program.

100% Free

Problem, I already am hosting my station with a provider. I have been using the same provider for several years. So why do I need to fill out all that information?

I posted in another thread regarding help with the Authhash but received no help.
What is an Authhash? A set of letters and numbers?

Open the /docs/ folder of your downloaded archive and check:

Is the /docs/folder located on the machine that hosts the stream?

Note how there's two options on https://rmo.shoutcast.com/Settings/Radio/create

Your station is a DNAS station, so you should choose the 2nd (green) option: SHOUTcast (DNAS)

Are you upgrading from a v1.9.8 server to the latest v2.5.1?
If yes, then leave the Authhash field blank and let the system create a new one for you.
The Authhash allows your station to be listed in the directory...

I think I'm starting to understand.
Regarding Tags, I know they can not be music genres but what about name of artists/bands?

Tags can be anything..... genres, country, city, artists, whatever....

They're currently only used on radionomy.com listings
but might eventually also be used for shoutcast.com...

Actually I am leaving the v1.9.8 station as is (even though it is not listed in the yp anymore) and relaying it via v2.5.1. Is that why I do not have an authhash in my config file?

EDIT: I had to fill out all station details first before I was finally given the authhash

EDIT2: My relayed v1 station's listeners are not added to the v2 count Previously when v1 stations were listed in yp (ie a couple of weeks ago) I had one v1 station relaying another v1 station and the listener count was the total.
