What did you learn this Christmas?

Well, looking back over the christmas/new years holidays, I realised that I learned a hell of a lot about the world around me. The most important points are:
  • Stay away from American girls.
  • ...especially if she is blonde, from Michigan, and her name is *********
  • Stay away from 19 year old girls.
  • ...especially if they are best friends with your younger sister.
  • 19 year old fit girls are oh so much fun in bed.
  • Women shouldn't drive.
  • ...especially two foot in front of you, in the snow.
  • Never go climbing the highest mountain in your country with a guy with vertigo.
  • ...especially across a ridge known as 'the knife edge'.
  • ... and especially not when accompanied by a girl recovering from 6 months of physiotherapy on her knees.
  • Your younger trainee-chef brother should not be let cook the christmas dinner.
  • Tinned beans and turkey don't mix.
  • Carrying your drunken parents into the back seat of your car and driving them home at 4am is not fun.
  • Mixing a bottle of Baileys with a bottle of brandy and drinking it doesn't make it any more fun.
  • Billy Connolly rocks.
  • Remind all of your relatives that you don't need any more deodourant/shower gel combo packs next christmas.
  • Women are the spawn of satan.
  • Fighting outside MacDonalds at 2am can get you arrested.
  • Singing at house parties full of people you don't know while drunk is not a good idea.
  • Playing guitar there is not much better.
  • Your best mate will drop you like a lead balloon at the smell of a chance of getting laid.
  • Vodka and red bull is more potent than I thought.

more to come later....

Like my photography? Buy some here....

Over Christmas I learned that Wilson's Leather can pack a coat into the tiniest box and still have it arrive in perfect condition.

And over New Years in New Orleans I learned that in large crowds, girls are not going to approach guys.

I also learned that some people turn in kleptomaniacs when drunk. (no, not me)

P.S. I also learned to be damned grateful for what I have. One of the ladies that lives at a nursing home where my Aunt used to work is convinced that my aunt is her long-lost sister. By extension, she's sort of adopted my entire family (including my maternal grandmother). The lady is less than fifty. She had a terrible life and had a complete breakdown. She never recovered. She lives in her own little fantasy world. We took her to my grandmother's house (her *mother*) for Christmas. Listening to her talk about how happy she was just to be back with her family and how lucky she was to have such a wonderful family nearly made me cry.

What I learned this Christmas

If you think you're getting a good gift some someone who hasn't asked you what you want, your wrong
... unless it's money
That mistletoe thing will only get you slapped
...repeatedly
...my many women
...especially when you try to do it to more than one woman at a time
...and they are all lesbians
...being drunk and trying to get laid when accidentally going to a gay/lesiban bar is not fun
...especially when you're alone
...and wearing yellow and pink

How many did you have?! I tried one of those for the first time on Saturday, and it did NOTHING. Luckily, someone bought it for me, but sheesh... I drink _very_ rarely, and I figured I'd at least feel a little bit happy afterwards. Basically, I drank one in about 20 minutes, and all I felt was a bit dizzy when I stood up. How very disappointing.

It was super-sugary-sweet, too. Ylargh.

I learned that you need to make sure that beer is readily availiable for Christmas, otherwise, you'll be drinking the family's wine. :x Blach.

I enjoy wine, but they pick the cheap bottles. They're not, erm, ripe. Fairly gross.

Lots of love,
Mea

P.S. Ethan, sounds like you had an interesting holiday! Any pictures?

Well you DID take a whole 20 minutes on 1 after all
If you were looking for that great "Oh I feel numb" feeling try 4 in 5-8 minutes...
(not that I'm speaking from experience or anything... )
I suspect Mr. h had 1 shot and passed out on the floor...typical.

I also learnt that when the light comes on automatically when you open the bathroom door to take a wizz, you are most likely about to piss in the fridge...

I learned one thing of note this Christmas; Mike Hailwood was a better motorcyclist than I'd previously thought.

Make that two things. The twat with the Nova with the three-inch 'fart-can' exhaust who drives past at 2am every Thursday, actually lives at number 14. Now where did I put that three-inch diameter grapefruit?

as he faced the sun, he cast no shadow
