Probably still works, just no official support.

Might be time to consider getting 2K, it is better than 98 by far and I rate it as there best yet.

Actually, that's a good awnser...I should use it when people ask me: "No win98 support?"

pretty much every computer since 2001 comes with XP, you must have some old ass computer that probably would struggle with winamp 5 anyway...

Not really, Winamp 5 is winamp 2, yadda yadda.

Except, now the workload of maintaining backwards compatibility with Windows API's is gone, and unicode support is standard.

The needs of the many outweigh the few.
