Setting my own machine for internet radio, without using a 3rd party streaming server

Hello everyone,
I would appreciate some advices from broadcasting professionals in regard of setting my own machine for internet radio.

Recently i got an 80 Mbps upload channel, and thinking of setting up my own machine for serving music, without using a 3rd party streaming server.

This is the setup for my machine:
Intel i865PE
Intel Pentium 4 2600 MHz / Cach 512 KB
2048 MB DDR-SDRAM
Realtek RTL8169/8110 Family Gigabit Ethernet NIC
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Version 5.01.2600 Service Pack 2
SAM Broadcaster
MySQL Server 5.1
SHOUTcast DNAS (on same machine, for public stream serving)

Currently having only SAM and MySQL Server started, my system keeps CPU usage at 20-35%.

Considering that my bandwidth will allow about 426 simultaneously connected users at 192 Kbps each, i was wondering if the CPU and RAM will be able to handle those connections.

Also i was wondering if it is absolutely crucial that i install some sort of server version OS, or will Windows XP Home do just fine?

Thank you a lot in advance.

Looks fine to me ... didn't realise SAM was such a CPU pig, but DNAS should be a doddle on that machine

Is it just me or are shoutcast users getting dumber?
