sorry for the new thread but its urgent!

ive been messing around with my monitors contrast/brightness and my skins contrast/brightness.......

this is what ive come up with as a fix, its usable on dark screens and doesnt look washed out on brighter screens.

please, please, please comment....even just a "ok, its better, now shutup" would do.

the only reason im even bothering is because i am deeply in love with how it came out and im heartbroken(dont laugh! lol)that some people havent been able to appreciate it the way i meant them to.

Looks nice to me (I have brightness on the max, on a shity moniter @ 800x600res). Link to the original as a comparision?

It looks better, yes... but I don't think you should have publised it as a new skin, especially since "colour variations" are not allowed in 1k1ws...

You may as well remove it now. Once max sees it, he will almost definitely remove one. It's a rule of his that only one version of a skin goes up, except when it's two substantially different versions. Your best option would be, once it's published at winamp.com,to post a link to it there at 1001.

As for the skin, the bright parts are now really bright and somewhat neony, but still, it's good. I think the remix is grand, and so I'll be downloading this version so that I can use it

Probably too late but . . .

I definitely like the new version better, especially the glint off the glass. Did you draw that freehand? I've always wanted to create something like that . . .

But (ah, there's always a but . . .) I still think the skin needs more contrast, especially in the playlist. The song titles are still pretty hard to read. The eq bars could stand to have a bit more contrast too, though they're not quite as bad.

Of course it could just be me. I think I have a love of contrast. I tend to see things in black and white.
