How does on go about and create a font? I mean, what programs are needed, and what recommended?

The main font tool creation tool I've heard of is:

http://www.macromedia.com/software/fontographer/

But it's definitely not freeware.

"What kind of a two-bit operation are they running out of this treehouse, Cooper?"

I'd say $349 (US) isn't freeware!

adobe.com has a font making program. you can get a shareware version of it. disable the 30 day eval thing with the clock fix. you shouldn't need it though theres hundreds of free fonts you can download for free.
