Eh Hem - Ouch.

You're planning on holding responsibility of other people's streams - yet you are still asking dumb-ass newbie questions like this..?

http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....hreadid=269605

Whats going on there? I certainly wouldn't trust you with my money. Might want to think about it and do a bit of learning first.

Oh wow I dident know how to do that omg, people dont know how to do everything, And Im asking this question because you can find good help like this..I have in the past. I own 7 dedicated servers and 10 vps servers. I have over 100+ clients on regular hosting, but yet I dont think anyone trust me with their money lol your funny. I have a 100% uptime has not been down once since I started. So please dont start with me.

well this went downhill fast.

I think James is perhaps thinking along the following lines ( along with alot of other people )

i) Webservers and their management are very different to Streaming

ii) asking in here for help for setting up your own hosting company does not look very professional. Alot of people have come and gone in these forums and unfortunately ALOT of them have been very very poor ( i'll exclude the regular posters of course )

iii) braging about your services as a comeback to a sensible observation will not win you any friends, and from my perspective your experience does not rank very high compared to alot of the hosting providers here.

iv ) do your homework in private. there are ALOT of tools to help you provide Shoutcast/Streaming hosting etc

Just my observations and hopefully some help.

BW

Without open minds the world will die. Open yours and correct the mistakes you are making right now.

I know about shoutcast and stream hosting, and yes it may be a little un-professional but i was just wondering if anyone wanted to help. Not help with web hosting just Stream but its cool, cause I can do it with my regular staff so it does not really matter to me.

Dude this forum has established elders who run the show on who offers what around here. In their eyes your justa competitor and need your balls squashed at first site.

Don't be offended it's just the way the game is played.

Do what everyone else does. Put a string of ads in your signature then camp out on this forum pouncing on every newbie that wants SC hosting that pops their head in.

Then corral everyone to radiotoolbox.com where the very first stream host listed is YOU KNOW WHO!

You gots to learn how to playz the game boyz

How much are you offering for pay, and what kind of hours do you expect someone to commit?

Your mileage may vary!

What the hell? We are just pointing the rules out and most of the users that advertise stream hosting have repital reputations.

@tucker

never mind him
he's still not aware on how forums work.
Reason for me to place him on my ignore list.

He rarely posts something worth reading.

nothing of any value is truely free.
Im just pointing out the obvious funnel.

Besides I woke up yesterday morning to find that my domain had been hijacked by the current registrar whilst trying to transfer it over to godaddy so im a little pissed at the world right now.

Hey, if it's a hosting business, then I would expect to get paid for my work. Besides, I could use the extra money. Notice how there is no response to my question.

Your mileage may vary!

Greg, I would expect him to pay you at least $1/hour! I'm sure at a push maybe even as much as $2/hour! Then you'll be loaded
