Radio Gaga?

I think there's a new streamripper out. I'm starting to see a bunch of hits from something called Radio Gaga. Anybody ever hear of this?

Yup it is a ripper and proud of it. Guess you should kill them. Probably even steals info from the YP to get the listings.

Does it just sit and Rip or does anyone actually listen to your station. I don't mind rippers so long as I get actual listeners in return. I only have 10 slots as I am a hobby station and I don't need all my slots taken by bots/rippers.

It's a ripper. All those IP in ban list, disconnecting messages you saw above are other IPs that used it. They connect for 1 or 2 seconds and reconnect every 2-3 minutes for another 2-3 seconds. Unless you ban them, the'll continue for hours, or in my case, even though they're banned, they still do it weeks after.

I have about 4 things in my ban list that have been trying to connect for months, they never change IPs and obviously never get a connection anymore.

Doesn't that sort of count as a DOS attack? You could try to report the IP for DOSing your station and see if that doesn't get them kicked off their ISP. I had a user in Yahoo chat try and DOS my IP and I called tech support and they helped me sniff out who it was. Now they don't have Internet. I'd think this would follow the same rule.
