Rapid cycle through playlist (NOT A FILE PATH PROBLEM)

Lately I've been having a very odd problem with Winamp: seemingly at random, it will go from completely normal playback to am ultra-rapid cycle through the entire playlist in which it will play the first tenth of a second of every song. This happens for both mp3's (and I presume any other filetype, but I only have mp3) as well as audio CD's.

Like I pointed out in the title, this has NOTHING to do with file path issues. If it did it would not be playing the first tenth of a second of each song.

When this happens, the only ways I've found to correct it are to close Winamp for a while (5-10 minutes usually does it), or sometimes I actually have to reboot my PC to fix it.

I don't know why this would start happening, as I've made no significant changes to my PC, and Winamp has been working flawlessly on it for years.

Latest winamp (uninstalled and installed latest an hour before posting). No plugins, cause all I want it to do is play music.

It plays like the first note or two of each song before skipping to the next. And I've noticed now that when it does it (it's not all the time), it ALWAYS skips UP the list, not DOWN. From song 10 to song 9 to song 8 etc etc.

Hi, Yuritau
I had similar problem years ago. I solved it with changing output plug-in. It was the problem with my sound card and winamp default output plug-in. Only in my case after some time that was winamp playing the sound began to be distorted.
Hope this will help, or get you to the right path.
Regards, Davor

Only thing that happens when changing between the listed output plugins is a complete loss of sound (from winamp) if I change it from the default.
