No CD Sound
I am using the recording program "Audacity" I watched as a friend successfully used this on my PC, recorded an audio file saved it on the desktop and then burned the CD copy of it, his copy plays okay on my two CD players, when I try to do this my burned CD will only play on my PC nothing else, I have had several tries at this with different types of files all failed, the latest being WAV 16bit. Can anyone help?

it is possible u did not "finalize" the CD which needs to happen to be playable in normal CD players. once finalized, no more writing can be done.
seems more like a question for the audacity forums however. PENN STATE Radio or http://www.LION-Radio.org/ -- BUG #1 = Winamp skips short tracks Wish #1 = Multiple Column Sorting Wish #2 = Add TCMP/Compilation editing |

If you ask me, you burned a file information disc instead of an Audio-CD. Use Winamp to burn your CD, so it will - as MrSinatra already wrote - finalize the disc with the Red Book standard, so it will be playable on any CD devices.
Or try to prepare a CUE Sheet using ImgBurn, for example. You can find a nice little tutorial here: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/arch...th_imgburn.cfm Good luck! ![]() |
