How can I start streaming?

Hello !
I'm new to the use of shoutcast 2.
I must write a piece of software that will stream audio to a shoutcast server, but after a lot of research, I am still mostly lost at how to proceed, anyone could give me a little heads up ?

Preferably to do so using node, but c is fine too.
I would prefer to avoid other languages since I don't have much time to learn enough about other languages to do this.

Hello scarboni,
Many use Azuracast (is a management panel). Azuracast is based on Liquidsoap.
