How to set a GlobalHotkey

hi all,

can any one know, How to set a customized GlobalHotkeys to winamp;

basically what i want is..

i wrote a GeneralPurposePlugin DLL , this DLL is starting as soon as the winamp is started.

but i need it to start whenever a user press a short-cut key .
how can i achieve this.

plz explain with a sample if any one has.

i implemented but it is not adding the hotkeys.
is there any other way to implement the hotkeys

when you say not adding, have you checked if the returned values from the different api messages in that example function are correct (ie values are > 1) and of course that you're running on a 5.x install

the only other way to register a hotkey is to use the win32 api directly yourself (which is what the gen_hotkeys plugin does for you) with registerhotkey(..)
