The site is up for me. Clear your cache and refresh.

As irritated as I am with the Linux bashing, it's unproductive to continue the flame war. Just yell at them elsewhere.

Yell it does look good... except that at first it didn't seem the winamp50_final.exe wasn't up, but its working now, so thats cool. It should take a little while for everything to be up properly.

odd - http:\\winamp.com is the old site while http:\\www.winamp.com is the new version! (12:20 am)

I tried em all
the site seems to be overloaded, and proxies are not getting through, so they serve old content.

direct IP URL worked for me though.
though it took a long time to get through and it still haven't finished loading

$15 bucks for Winamp Pro? Grrr...they said it "wasnt gonna be much" by which I though they meant like $4 or $5.

Hmmm...I wanted to buy it to support Nullsoft, but thats just ridiculous for features that other programs have for free anyway.

Oh well.

I'm asking again since I got no reply. Is the playlist showing up maximised after you close winamp when it's minimised supposed to be fixed in the final because it isn't on my machine.

lovin' it. New site is cool and Winamp 5.0 rocks.

But seems the site update inadvertently broke the URL used by "what's playing in the ML... :-)

uhhh...excuse my blindness, but what happened to the bar at the top of the page which went something like 'search | Private Messages | Control Panel | Login | Register | etc etc '?

I cant find it...Am I blind or is it not here anymore? I don't like how the login box is at the bottom - its not prominent enough.

/me can't wait to change the colour theme back to something bluish (assuming the options there) the white is too bright for me

I just got lost in thought. It was unfamiliar territory.

I found a butt-load of bad links and 12/12 builds yesterday afternoon, but got lucky at one (different) French site and got a 12/14 build-date install file named Winamp_5_Full_Finale.exe downloaded at 3:54pm EDT. So there was at least one good one out there, but it was a needle in a haystack.

After running it for some 14 hours now, the biggest difference for my needs has been the new Milkdrop presets...beautiful! And still holding on to 60fps live rates @ 1600x1200 (120Hz configured refresh rate). Couldn't ask for more! Had friends over yesterday afternoon after I installed it and they liked it too.

My only remaining issue is that the reference FLAC decoder won't read ID3v2 tags (nothing to do with the WA main program). *ugh* Means I'll have to stick FLAC tags on everything. But a very minor problem, anyway.

Kudos to the Winamp developers! Job well done!

(And to Sawg, DJ Egg, and all other mods who've dedicated time to tech support of all the beta versions. Thanks a ton, guys!)

I'm a psychosomatic sister running around without a leash.

No. Hopefully it'll be fixed for 5.01
It's been reported umpteen times to the devs, so they are fully aware of the problem.

It's an older 2.9x bug that got away...

I suggest you use modern/freeform skins instead,
where the bug doesn't exist

But if your pc is too old/slow to cope with them, and/or you just prefer the oldskool classic skins, then you'll just have to put up with it for now. Sorry, but we tried many many times to get the devs to fix it in time for 5.0 Final . . . but hey, shit happens

ps. seems the most relevant place to post this...
If anyone's having problems downloading from download.nullsoft.com server try the direct ip address instead of the dns

Sort by track has never been an option in Winamp.
Winamp 5.0 is the direct upgrade from Winamp 2.9x
This was a feature of Winamp3, aka wasabi.player

All missing wasabi features from Winamp3 are already listed in the
Official Winamp 5.x Wishlist

"Sort by track" search
