nicely done.
a few things that bug me though,
the save button stretches to the bottom of the window.
globalvars.ape code fields stay the same size as the old avs.dll.
it'd be nice if the window was resizeable, i can't fit both the editor and a 500x350 avs window on my 1440x900 screen.
other than that i'd say it's a great improvement.

well, the save button is intentionally taller. being the most essential button in an unstable plugin, you should be able to reach it without moving your mouse much far.

resizable would definitely be great, but i'm not sure if the contents boxes can resize with the entire window. i orinally targeted a 800x600 window, but i know some of you already have much larger screens these days

if you have ui problems, it's possibly because still have resize.ape installed. also i've been thinking of bringing back the old button setup at the top. i can't get used to the new position of the + button and the original philisophy of the ui was, that destructive elements require longer mouse movements.
