smart playlists/media views crashing

Hey there

Here's the error I get every time I try to restrict sync to a particular set of media views.

If I memorize the list on the rare occasions when it is displaying properly and select only the ones I want, the selection is not "sticky" and reverts back to selecting them all as soon as I close this window and reopen (without syncing or closing the preferences, even). "Select none" seems to stick, but that's just no good because then my songs don't get transferred!

It doesn't do this with regular playlists.

ml_ipod 3.02
winamp 5.5
windows2000sp4

Sorry it's a bitmap, damn jpeg filters aren't working on my computer at the moment.

Thanks in advance for the help.

So it simply does not show any smart view names at all in the window, right?
Maybe an archive helps, create it with
"iPod icon->Help->Create archive for bug report"
and upload it to http://stashbox.org for me... Thanks

It's not just the names, it also reverts to selecting "all" or "none" every time I close the window with the check boxes, and then it tries to sync all that crap (or none of that crap, as the case may be)

Sorry, too busy at the moment with the iPhone stuff.
Seems to be a real bug. Please add this to the bug tracker at SF, to insure that it gets tracked. Include the archive link.

Thanks.

True. We had problems with spam bug reports, so I disabled anonymous postings. And you only get automatic status mails if you are logged in. So I recommend creating an account - it's free and quick.

I'd rather not -- long story

Hope you'll note it when you get a moment

Thanks

I'm off to find another solution for now, but I'll keep checking in on this thread in the hopes that you find time to look at this issue. Winamp really is best for just about everything else...

There are some very weird things in your archive. Please, make a zip of
* plugins\gen_ml.ini (from your Winamp install)
* plugins\ml\playlists.xml (from your Winamp install)
* \iPod_Control\iTunes\ml_ipod.ini (from iPod)
and attach that.
