Musical Guilty Pleasures

I often listen to Queen and Genesis full-blast in my car singing along as loud as I can.

All the Love in the World by Outfield

About a third of my music collection is stuff too embarrassing* to play on the stereo at work.

*or irritating, or offensive

I think in my case that's closer to 90%. (Some people are just easily irritated though, I mean how can anybody not love YMCK?)

I don't have any 'guilty pleasures' musically or generally. I'm not ashamed about anything I like. Especially if its frowned upon...makes me want to represent it even more

Glad the label has an mp3 of Magical 8bit Tour. That was fun.

Even stuff that can be taken as offensive, sometimes it takes too much time to explain why it isn't offensive. With so many historical recordings in play, it isn't just swearing that can make people uneasy. A song like "Wetback" by Vancie Flowers from 1962--who wants to go into a long explanation about the "they call him names but he's the better man" subgenre of Girl-Pop? Not me, not at work anyway.

You know, people say that but it's not true.
